We had so many great costumes in our class today! The students were very creative this year. This afternoon we watched "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" and enjoyed some Halloween Treats. Have a safe evening trick-or-treating!

This week we began our artist study on Aboriginal artist Roy Henry Vickers. Our class read the book "Orca Chief" which is the third in a series of Northwest Coast legends by Roy Henry Vickers and Robert Budd. Students created their own version of the "Orca Chief" inspired by the beautiful art in the book.
Mrs. Johnson and Mr. Wejr, along with other staff members of James Hill Elementary, recently had the privilege of hearing Roy Henry Vickers speak in Langley at his event called Reconciliation & The Four Directions of Stewardship. Mr Wejr tweeted a photo of our art work to Mr. Vickers and he responded with a beautiful comment! SO COOL! Scroll down to check out his tweet! |
