2. A reminder that we are going on our plant walk field trip Friday (dress for the weather) Important dates coming up!
A lot of fun and exciting things are coming up for our class in the final months of school especially for our grade 5 students! April 25- Grade 5’s are meeting with the Stafford Principal and councilor at James Hill to talk about next year. I know some grade 5’s are not attending Stafford but they will still be joining in and listening to the presentation. May 1- Grade 5’s are going to Stafford from 9:30- 10:30 to “get a lay of the land”. May 4– Pro-D May 10- Collaboration afternoon. Students will be dismissed at 1:25. May 11- Extreme Air Park May 16- James Hill Track Meet. All students will be participating in the grade 3-5 track meet held at our school. May 18- Puberty talk- Grade 5 students will be learning about the changes that their bodies will be going through. A permission form will be sent home with students closer to this day. May 21- Victoria Day, No school. May 30- If your child qualified at the James Hill Track Meet then they will be attending the L.S.S. Track Meet. June 8- Sports Day, Start crossing your fingers for sunshine now! June 11- 15- Grade 5 Swim Program. Grade 5 students head to Al Anderson pool to learn about water safety and swim instruction. Permission form to be sent home closer to date. June 20- Grade 4/5 Waterslides. Students have a fun day of sliding at Cultus Lake Waterslides. Parent privers and volunteers will be needed. Permission form to be sent home closer to date. June 22- Grade 5’s head to Stafford for the morning to meet grade 5’s from other schools and practice how to open those pesky lockers. June 25- Grade 5 Grad/Recognition. All grade 5’s will be honoured in an assembly at 1 p.m A bbq will follow. More information to come! June 28- Last day and Talent Show! 1. 2. On Friday April 27 we are having an Aboriginal Plant Walk Presentation. We are in need of five parent volunteers to help out with the day 9:00am- 2:00pm. If you are available on this day and would like to help -please shoot me an email at [email protected]! 1. Identity Day is on Monday! If you have not yet brought in your project it MUST be brought to our classroom first thing Monday morning!!!!! Our classroom's time slot is 9:00 am on Monday.
